Welcome.
It’s time to do the work—in a way that actually works. Permission to Pause is an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels supportive, not overwhelming. You don’t need prior experience or a perfectly clear intention to begin. All that’s required is a willingness to listen, notice, and stay curious about what unfolds.
This journey is designed to meet you exactly where you are. You’re free to move at your own pace—whether that means immersing yourself over a weekend or allowing the work to gently integrate over weeks or months. There is no finish line to rush toward and nothing to “get right.” This is not about fixing yourself; it’s about remembering yourself. The changes that emerge do so naturally, as your body, mind, and inner world feel safe enough to soften and respond.
As you move through the course, know that you are supported. Questions, deeper talks, and pauses are all part of the process. If anything comes up along the way, you’re always welcome to reach out to Courtney at courtney@journeythroughbliss.com. Trust yourself, trust the pace, and allow this to be the beginning of a deeper, more meaningful relationship with yourself and your life.

Part I: Learning the Language of Your Body
-
Chapter 1: Orientation & Permission
Let’s be real…the woman who comes into Permission to Pause doesn’t actually need permission for anything – she just needs to be reminded of who she is, how to listen to herself again, and just how safe she really is to do things a little - or a lot - differently.
-
Chapter 2: Coco & Soma
This journey is about becoming more aware of your humanity while learning how to stay connected to yourself inside of it. Meet two important companions that will help you do just that.
-
Chapter 3: Perception & Autopilot
Your experiences shape the lens through which you see the world. In this chapter, you'll discover how that lens quietly drives autopilot—and how awareness helps you reconnect with the present moment.
-
-
Chapter 4: The System Behind Your Experience
Gain a simple understanding of how your nervous system quietly shapes your everyday experience, and why true regulation isn't about staying calm—it's about building the flexibility to respond to life.
-
Chapter 5: Your Relationship With Stress
Reframe your relationship with stress by understanding your nervous system's baseline, and discover how returning to your internal "home base" helps you respond to life with greater ease and flexibility.
-
Chapter 6: The Body is Built to Feel
Explore emotions as energy in motion, and discover how creating safe space for them to be felt and expressed can release internal pressure and restore capacity within your nervous system.
-
Chapter 7: Honoring the Evolution
Understand why insight alone isn't enough, and learn why your body needs to feel safe before meaningful, sustainable change can take root.

Assess to Progress
Assessments are easy ways to communicate with our body in real-time, getting feedback on how your nervous system is responding to whatever or whoever you’re interacting with in the moment. Learn how to do some easy assessments here.

I need to RECONNECT
When you've been living in your head, moving on autopilot, or feeling disconnected from yourself, this is a place to gently come back home. These practices are designed to help you tune into your body, build awareness, and strengthen the relationship between your mind and nervous system. There is no right way to reconnect—only an invitation to notice what's here.
-
I need to REST
Sometimes your body isn't asking you to do more—it’s asking you to slow down. This category is designed to support deep restoration, helping your nervous system settle, recharge, and return to a place of greater ease. If you're feeling depleted, overstimulated, or simply in need of a softer pace, begin here.
-
I need to RELEASE
Stress, tension, and emotions are meant to move through us—not stay stored within us. This category offers practices that help release physical energy, emotional buildup, and nervous system activation through movement, breath, and other supportive tools. Sometimes the most healing thing you can do is simply allow your body to finish what it started.
-
I need to RESET
Life doesn't always give us the luxury of slowing down for long. This category is filled with quick, effective practices—each five minutes or less—to help you pause, regulate, and come back home to yourself in the middle of a busy day. Think of these as your "in-the-moment" tools whenever you need a simple reset.
-
Loving and Releasing Patterns Meditation
This guided meditation invites you to connect with your body through breath, awareness, and a heart-centered field of safety—helping you gently release stored tension and create space within.

Part III: Stepping Into Who You’re Becoming
-
Chapter 1: The Embodiment Response Cycle
Bring everything you've learned together through the Embodied Response Cycle—a simple, practical framework that helps you respond to life with greater awareness, intention, and self-trust.
-
Chapter 2: Living Wake Awake
Complete your journey by recognizing that Permission to Pause was never about becoming someone new—it was about remembering how to come home to yourself, again and again.

Course FAQ
-
The course is designed to gently build on itself, so moving through it in order is recommended—especially if this is your first experience with inner or nervous-system–based work.
That said, you are always invited to listen to your intuition. If a specific topic is calling to you, it’s okay to meet yourself there and return to earlier lessons when it feels supportive.
-
The journey is divided into three sections to make the experience feel as supportive and manageable as possible. If you're looking for a gentle rhythm, allowing yourself about two weeks for each section is a wonderful place to start.
That said, there is no "right" timeline. Permission to Pause is intentionally self-paced, so you can move through it in a way that honors your life, your capacity, and your nervous system. Some chapters may invite you to keep moving, while others may ask you to linger a little longer—and that's exactly how this journey is designed.
-
Yes — it’s friendly to all levels! Permission to Pause was created for women who are just beginning this kind of work, as well as those looking to reconnect with themselves in a deeper way.
Everything is explained in accessible, everyday language, and the practices are designed to be gentle, practical, and grounding. You don't need any prior experience with meditation, nervous system work, or personal development—just a willingness to be curious and meet yourself where you are.
-
Your body will often let you know before your mind does. If you notice yourself feeling emotionally flooded, disconnected, unusually anxious, or like you're pushing yourself to "get through" the material, those are all gentle invitations to pause.
Permission to Pause was intentionally designed to support safety and nervous system regulation—not to push you beyond your capacity. There is no benefit to rushing or forcing your way through this journey. Move at a pace that feels supportive, revisit practices as often as you'd like, and trust that slowing down is part of the work—not a detour from it.
If you ever have questions or would like additional guidance, you're always welcome to reach out to Courtney at courtney@journeythroughbliss.com. You can expect a response within one business day.
And remember, this course is not a replacement for individualized mental health care. If you need additional support, please lean on trusted friends or family, your community, or a licensed mental health professional. You don't have to navigate this journey alone.
-
Consistency is key. Expect to spend a few minutes a day building a nervous system toolkit that feels supportive. As you continue your practice, it will become a part of your daily rhythm.
-
No. This course is a supportive self-development experience and is not a substitute for therapy, medical treatment, or professional mental health care. If you’re working with a therapist or practitioner, this course can beautifully complement that work.
-
You’re never meant to navigate this alone. If questions or concerns come up as you move through your journey, please reach out to Courtney at courtney@journeythroughbliss.com.

You can’t fall behind. This isn’t a program you complete—it’s a resource you return to. Taking breaks, pausing, or revisiting lessons later is part of the process and often where deeper integration happens.
At the same time, remember why you said yes to this experience. You invested in this journey because some part of you was asking for something different. Honor that part of yourself by making space to come back, even if it's only for a few minutes at a time.
Life will always "life." There will always be seasons when your attention is pulled elsewhere. But this work isn't asking for perfection—it simply asks that you return when you're able. Every time you do, you're reinforcing the message that you are worthy of your own time, care, and attention.
