When life begins to feel louder than your inner voice, this is where you return.
Permission to Pause is more than a course—it’s a companion designed to stay with you.
This is a resource, not a checklist.
A journey built with intention—less information to consume, and more space to practice, repeat, and integrate what you’re learning into your body and your life.
This is not a course you finish…
This is the foundation you come back to.
From Our Clients
Permission to Pause was intentionally created as a journey you can move through on your own, in your own time.
The Live Journey · Fall 2026
But sometimes, there’s something powerful about choosing not to do the work alone.
This fall, you’re invited to experience Permission to Pause live—with deeper integration, live coaching, and a community moving through the journey alongside you.
“Permission to Pause is the foundational journey I wish every woman could experience before trying to change anything.”
Because lasting change begins with creating enough safety to truly hear what you need.
And when you begin listening, you may discover that beneath so much of what you’ve been reaching for is something even deeper — the desire to feel at home within yourself.
This is a journey designed to change the way you experience yourself—and the way you experience the life happening around you.
And that journey needs to be accessible within the life you actually live.
Permission to Pause goes with you — whether you’re on a walk, in the car, or finding a quiet moment at home, it is designed to integrate naturally into your everyday life so you can create space to:
slow down ~ regulate your nervous system ~ come back home to yourself
One pause at a time.
You’ve built a full life, one filled with people, experiences, responsibilities, and things that matter deeply to you.
Now you’re ready to create a little more space for yourself within it.
Permission to Pause was created for you if:
✓ You spend so much time tending to everyone and everything around you that you’re not always sure what you need anymore.
✓ You love the time and energy you’re able to give to the people and life you love—and you know there’s more you’re ready to give to yourself.
✓ Slowing down has become a little foreign, and you’re ready to feel the pause, the breath, and the space in your days again.
✓ You’re curious about the wisdom of your body and want to become more fluent in the signals it’s already sending you.
✓ You want to understand your nervous system in a way that feels approachable, empowering, and relevant to your everyday life.
✓ You’re ready to bring everything you already know about yourself a little deeper—from understanding it in your mind to experiencing it in your body.
✓ You want simple ways to support yourself throughout the day and the confidence to recognize what kind of support you need in the moment.
✓ You want to create more space between what happens and what comes next—so you can respond with greater intention, choice, and trust in yourself.
✓ You know there is more available to you—not because something is missing, but because you’re ready to experience your life with more presence, capacity, and connection.

What You Get Inside Permission to Pause
Permission to Pause was intentionally created to fit into your life—not require you to rearrange your life around it.
12 guided audio chapters
Every chapter is delivered through easy-to-listen-to audio, so you can take the journey with you—on a walk, in the car, while traveling, or curled up somewhere quiet.
You’ll explore the nervous system, awareness, stress, emotions, patterns, regulation, embodiment, and more—not simply to understand them, but to begin noticing how they are already showing up in your life and your body.
The Pause Portal: practices for real life
Build your own library of support through the Pause Portal—a collection of simple somatic and nervous-system practices designed to meet you in different moments and needs.
Explore the practices throughout your journey, discover what works for you, and leave with tools you can return to whenever you need a little more support, space, or connection to yourself.
Built-in space to integrate
More information isn't always the answer.
Intentional integration is woven throughout Permission to Pause, giving your nervous system time to experience, process, and practice what you're learning before moving forward.
There is no reward for getting through this quickly. The Pause is part of the journey.
Soulwork, reflections + embodied exploration
Throughout the journey, you’ll receive thoughtful prompts, reflections, and experiences that invite you beyond simply listening.
Some will help you understand yourself more deeply. Others will ask you to notice, feel, experiment, or practice something differently in your everyday life.
This is where the work becomes yours.
A foundation you can return to
Permission to Pause isn't something you have to race through and leave behind.
Come back to a chapter. Repeat a practice. Revisit your reflections six months from now and notice what has changed.
The Permission to Pause Journey
Part I: Build the Foundation
Understand what’s happening within you.
The first seven chapters give you the foundational understanding to begin seeing yourself—and your responses to life—through a different lens.
You’ll explore the relationship between your mind, body, nervous system, stress, emotions, perception, and the patterns that shape how you move through your days.
But this isn’t about becoming an expert on your nervous system.
It’s about finally having language for experiences you may have felt your entire life—and beginning to recognize the signals, patterns, and wisdom that have been there all along.
By the end of Part I, you’ll have a deeper understanding of how your system works, why it responds the way it does, and how to begin working with it rather than against it.
Part II: Practice the Pause
Bring what you know into your body and your life.
This is where understanding becomes experience.
Through two guided integration steps and the Pause Portal, you’ll begin exploring what it feels like to listen inward, recognize what you need, and respond with support that actually matches the moment.
Rather than being told exactly what to do, you’ll gradually practice asking yourself first.
What do I need right now?
Rest. Reset. Reconnect. Release.
You’ll experiment with different somatic and nervous-system practices, notice how your body responds, and begin building your own relationship with the tools that support you.
This is the heart of Permission to Pause: learning that the guidance you’ve been looking for doesn’t always need to come from outside of you.
The Pause gives you enough space to hear what’s already within.
Part III: Embody the Work
Take the Pause with you.
The final two chapters are about what happens beyond the journey.
You’ll reflect on what has shifted, recognize the subtle ways your relationship with yourself may already be changing, and explore how to carry this work into the moments that come next.
You’ll also be introduced to the Embodied Response Cycle—a five-part framework designed to help you move from automatic reaction toward a more supported, embodied response:
Awareness → Support → Feel → Baseline → Respond
Not a formula to perfect. Not another checklist to follow.
A framework you can return to as life continues to change, stretch, surprise, and invite you forward.
Because the goal was never to become someone who never feels activated, overwhelmed, uncertain, or deeply human.
The goal is to build enough trust in yourself to know:
You can meet what comes—and you know how to find your way home.
Meet The Pause Portal
Knowing you need support and knowing what support you need are two different things.
You can know you need to slow down.
You can understand your nervous system.
You can learn the language of regulation, stress, emotions, and embodiment.
But eventually, you have to move beyond understanding.
The Pause Portal is where you begin experiencing the work in your own body.
The Pause Portal is intentionally designed to feel different from the moment you enter it. Every element—from the way the practices are organized to the way you’re invited to choose—has been thoughtfully curated to reduce cognitive demand, create a sense of ease, and support your nervous system in feeling safe enough to soften.
Instead of giving your mind another list of tools to remember, the Portal gives it permission to rest. You’ll be invited to turn your attention inward, notice what your body is communicating, and let those signals guide you toward the support that feels right in the moment.
There is no perfect practice. No prescribed routine. No expectation that the same thing will support you every time.
Because the goal isn’t to teach you what to do. It’s to help you become more confident knowing what you need.
And little by little, the Pause becomes more than something you practice inside this journey.
It becomes a space you know how to create for yourself.

Meet your Guide…
Founder of Journey Through Bliss,
Courtney Popelier
Hi, I’m Courtney.
I’m a mother to two wildly spirited boys, an entrepreneur, a yoga instructor, a nervous system practitioner—and a widow.
That last word carries a lot.
Losing my husband changed the way I understood life, healing, and what it means to feel safe when everything around you has changed. Looking back, I can see that what carried me through the most unfamiliar seasons wasn’t having all the answers. It was having places to return to—the people, practices, and relationship with myself that helped me find my way home.
My work today is rooted in that same belief: your body is not something to override or fix. It is something to listen to, trust, and work with.
Through years of yoga, somatic practice, and study—and my training as an ICF-accredited Neurosomatics Practitioner through the Neurosomatics Institute—I’ve learned how powerful it can be when we understand our nervous system and begin bringing that understanding into the way we actually live.
Permission to Pause was created from that knowing.
My hope is that every woman has this foundation before trying to change anything else. Because lasting change doesn’t begin with pushing harder or becoming someone new. It begins with creating enough safety to hear yourself, understand what you need, and trust the wisdom that’s already within you.
Permission to Pause is an invitation to begin building that foundation.
I’d be honored to guide you through it.
You don’t need to become a different version of yourself.
You need the space to hear the one who’s already there.
It’s time to listen.
Frequently asked questions
-
Permission to Pause was intentionally designed to fit into your life—not require you to rearrange your life around it.
Most audio chapters are between 10–15 minutes and designed to be easy to listen to wherever you are. After each chapter, you’ll also have Soulwork available to take the concepts deeper through reflection, exploration, and embodied practice when you’re able to give yourself a little more space.
As a general guide, it is recommended giving yourself at least a month to move through the full journey. This creates space to spend time with what you’re learning, explore the Pause Portal, and allow the work to move beyond understanding into lived experience.
But there is no required pace. Take the time you need and let the journey unfold in a way that feels supportive for you.
-
You’re in exactly the right place.
Permission to Pause is a foundational journey, designed to make nervous system and somatic work approachable, relatable, and relevant to your everyday life. You don’t need to understand the science, know the terminology, or have experience with embodiment practices before you begin.
We’ll build the foundation together—and more importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to experience what it means in your own body.
-
Absolutely. Understanding the nervous system and experiencing that understanding within your own life can be two very different things.
Permission to Pause goes beyond learning about regulation. You’ll be invited to notice your own patterns and signals, explore how stress and emotion move through your system, practice listening to your body, and discover the support that works for you.
If you already have the knowledge, this journey offers you the space to bring that knowledge out of your head and more deeply into the way you live.
-
The Pause Portal is the embodied heart of Permission to Pause—a thoughtfully curated collection of nervous system and somatic practices designed to help you move from knowing what you’ve learned to experiencing it.
During Part II, you’ll be guided through the Portal with intention. You’ll explore different practices, notice how your body responds, and gradually begin letting your own signals guide the support you choose.
The goal isn’t to memorize a collection of tools. It’s to build a relationship with yourself that helps you recognize what you need—and gives you somewhere to turn when you need it.
-
The guided journey may end, but this work was designed to come with you.
In the final part of Permission to Pause, you’ll bring together what you’ve learned and experienced and be introduced to the Embodied Response Cycle—a framework you can use to support more intentional, embodied responses in everyday life.
From there, Permission to Pause becomes something you can return to. Revisit a chapter, enter the Pause Portal, repeat a practice, or come back to the framework whenever you want to reconnect with your foundation.
The journey ends. The practice becomes yours.
-
You’ll have lifetime access to Permission to Pause, including the course materials and Pause Portal, so there is no need to rush through your experience.
Move through the journey at your own pace, revisit what speaks to you, and return whenever you feel called back to the Pause.
-
There isn’t one right way to experience Permission to Pause—and discovering that is part of the journey.
You’ll be given guidance and structure along the way, but you’ll also be encouraged to notice what feels supportive for you, honor your own pace, and become more comfortable listening to your own signals.
You don’t need to perfect the Pause. You’re practicing trusting yourself within it.
